He is there because he is Jon's friend, not because he is good. I don't mind neither him or Phil but they just don't fit Bon Jovi at all.

He is there because he is good. That's the problem, he's there because he's good at what he does and speeds up the process.

Good at what? His guitar playing isn't great, neither are his songs. So in what way is he good?

Saying he's not good at guitar because you don't like his style is a little much. If you have a problem with him and what he's done to the band that's a whole 'nother subject. Dude can play. It's what he's playing with the band that is very very vanilla meh.

Of course he can play guitar. But he is not 'great' enough for such a big band. Richie messed up a lot but he had an unique style, Shanks doesn't. Same with Phil. He might be a great guitar player but he is lacking soul in his playing.

As long as shanks is involved with the band the sound and style will never interest me.

The last couple of albums have been turd and I expect the new one will be as well.

They’ve written too many duff albums to make me think they can come back with even a 7/10 effort.
