Hi Everyone -

I know that this has probably been discussed 'x' times, but I was hoping to get some quick feedback from the group.

Here are my questions:

1) Who has sold more albums world wide? Bon Jovi or U2

2) How many for each?

3) What source did you use?

I have a gentlemen's bet with a big U2 fan. Although I think that U2 has probably sold more albums. He thinks that it will be by a larger than 10% margin.

Im sure U2 have sold more albums but dunno the sales.

According to RIAA.com here are the sales. This is only US sales though, not international and only through August of 2003.

U2 ~ 47 million
Bon Jovi ~ 33.5 million

Bon Jovi ~ 100 millions
U2 ~ 150 millions

i would make the argument, How many albums has U2 released? i'll bet its closer if you divide how many albums sold devided by how many albums released. Same goes for Aerosmith.
