According to a recent Billboard survey, Bon Jovi has come in at 8th on the money list of touring acts this year.

Elton John and Billy Joel took the top two spots, Yanni was above them too.

An interesting result is John Farnham, a man who for 34 years has kept his career and succeeded within Australia. He came in at 7th just above the boys. Not a bad result considering many of his shows were in rural areas playing to crowds of only 3 or 4 thousand. AND his tickets weren't overly expensive, about 80-100 AUD, which is what you'd expect from a big name such as him.

Ugh i read earlier (i think it was on billboard as well) that it was between bon jovi and pearl jam to see who was gonna make the most money on there world tours. I have a hard time beliving that bon jovi is that low on the gig as when they came to the uk played 4 gigs in front of over 200,000 thousand!. And in tickets alone that = 8,000,0000 and thats not including merchandice!. So if someone gets boaard enough work out the world attendances and get the money for them. I cant see anyone making THAT kind of money and is elton on tour??? its the first of me knowing this!

Yep,Elton is on tor. He played on the 26th June in Bucharest. I've seen a recording of it. Pretty good show. Crappy atmosphere. And only 3/4 of the stadium being sold out!

In the last list I saw, Bon Jovi was 3rd ... behind Paul McCartney (whose tickets are like $200 each so no wonder he's in first place ) and Elton John and Billy Joel.
