Remember a few weeks ago when we were talking about VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the Past 25 Years? Well, I got to thinking. Why don't we have a 100 Greatest Bon Jovi Songs presentation on this board? Not only do I think this would be a good idea, it would be a great way to find out which songs Jovitalkers like the most.

Here's the plan:
Since I want to make this fair, I want you guys to help me make the list. No, you don't have to think up 100 songs put 'em in order and post 'em. Just pick up to 20 of your favorites, in no particular order and PM me (to keep it confidential). I'll organize the songs by how many people picked them as their favorites. Since VH1's 100 Greatest are usually stuffed with quotes on what they think of the songs, I want you to give me reasons why you like the songs and I will quote some of you when I present the list.

Guidelines (stuff I will and won't put on the list):
I will allow material from the studio albums that have been released worldwide. I will allow new material that was released on Cross Road (namely Always and Saturday Night). I will allow remakes that were released on albums (namely Prayer '94 and OWN '01). I will allow material from Jon's, Richie's, and David's solo records (because if I didn't there wouldn't be 100 songs to pick from).

I will not allow live versions of songs. I will not allow bonus tracks. I will not allow demos. I will not allow radio mixes. I'm only putting these restrictions in because I am certain that not everybody had heard these songs. Besides, there are already posts about best live versions of songs and stuff like that.

So, please PM me a list of up to 20 of your favorite songs in no particular order and write a little someting about each one. You can say why you like them, you can say how the song has affected you, you can say someting about the music video (if it has one), or you can tell a little story about the song. Just don't post your list here. I want the list to be a surprise for everyone.

In the event that I have to change the guidelines, I will post the change on this thread.

Presentation:
When I have evough PMs to make a decent list, I will let you know on this thread. For the presentation if the 100 Greatest Bon Jovi Songs, I will open up a new thread and post the results in segments. I will be "hosting" the presentation.

I'm glad that you like my idea. I'm just starting on the list and already I see some trends. Keep the PMs comming! Just please don't put in any emoticons. I'm working the list out on a word processing program and it goes crazy when I paste a sentence with an emoticon in it.
