Default Autograph??

I went to the Minneapolis show on July 15, and I have to say it was awesome, half acoustic half electric. I guess my only disappointments were that the show seemed shorter than the first one I went to in Febuary and they only sang two new songs off the bounce album. But all in all it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Back to my point I guess, I bought a $100 autograph picture at the concert, I was wondering if this is real like actually signed and not a copy? The guy behind the desk was giving me crap for buying a hundred dollar autograph but I thought it was worth it. Did or would anyone else spend that much for it?

Thanks,

They're supposed to be real.

I'm very sure that it is real. I can't imagine that they sell a print for 100 Dollars. I mean, it is an official dealer who is licensed by BJ and not something illegal.

To answer your last question: No I wouldn't buy an autograph. A bought autograph wouldn't mean that much to me. Behind the autographs I have there's always a history how I met them. It's not just a piece of paper with a signature. For me the history behind the autograph is more important than the autograph itself.

I can't belive anybody in their right mind would pay $100 for a signed photo.... That really is bloody pathetic.

Ask over at backstage, I'm sure they'll know

Good point! Yeah, I kind of regretted afterwards, its nice but it would have been nicer to have a memory behind it other than the show, oh well though nothing I can do about it now.

Oh, who cares. My husband bought me a promo pic. from the Crossroads CD that is signed by the band. He put into a picture frame for me with the Crossroads CD underneath and concert tickets from a BJ show we went to. I love it. Enjoy your autograph!!!

You shouldn't regret it. I mean, what I wrote is my personal opinion and view but this doesn't mean that your autographs are less worth or something just because you don't have a story to tell.

Therefore your autographs are probably more clear than mine . And a picture is way nicer to frame and hang on the wall than a CD-booklet.

for me autographs are only somehting if you've got them personally... Even if they sign if for you, it's got to be personal. Lofgren was signing things after a concert of his I saw, and he signed a video for me. Bairly said a word, and wrote the same thing he wrote for everybody. It means very little to me....

However a program that I had signed by the Nice means a lot to me, because I was actually sat down talking with them for well over an hour, and actually got to know them a little....

From a collector's standpoint, it's not a bad investment. It's extremely difficult to get an entire band's autograph on one item. This is something you know is legitimate, even if there hundreds/thousands of them. I've seen items autographed by Jon alone selling for $300 and they had nothing to prove it was real!

In 20 years it will be worth more than $100, you can bet. If you put it on Ebay right now you could get moer than $100 because there are people who would want it who can't get to a concert to buy it.

There is NO reason to feel guilty about buying one.

Just enjoy it and tell your kids they can make a profit one day.

I've seen the photos, Hugh is missing so it's unfortunately not the entire band.
