Default A decade of Bon Jovi

I was thinking its exactly 10 years ago this month since I bought Keep the faith (the album) on cassette. I remember it really well cos I was 13, just about to to leave middle school, and bought it with the money i got from my paper round!! I was well and truely hooked after that. It doesnt seem that long ago though

So when did you buy your first BJ CD/tape or whatever??? or how long would you say youve been a fan of the band???

For me everything started with Keep the faith, too. I didn't know them earlier exept of the song Runaway. I didn't have MTV and didn't listen very often to the radio so I missed the first 9 or 10 years of the band, exept of Runaway though but it needs more than one song to make me a fan of a band.

I got MTV when Keep the faith came out and there was a BJ-weekend or something like this what made me interested in the band. And to say it with Richie's words "The rest is history" LOL.

Keep The Faith was the first album I bought on it's date of release, but I already had the other albums... I got hooked in the late 80's when New Jersey came out. I bought it from a then-friend of mine and bought the rest soon after that.

I began to be a Bon Jovi fan when Crush was realeased. I knew who Bon jovi were and the only songs I knew were Always,Bed of Roses & Keep The Faith (my favourite of all times).
When It's My Life & Say It Isn't So, the first 2 singles from Crush were released I had to buy the whole album. Then I bought OWN and Cross road and thought to myself: Damn, those guys are really really good!!!
From there I bought the other albums and I just fell in love with Bon Jovi (especially Jon...)

Keep On Rocking!!!!!!

Someday Ill be saturday night was the first tape i bought by BJ and the first album i bought was These Days for £3 in Turkey! Its quite funny going home from Turkey with a cd album as cheap as a cd single in the UK. I bought KTF a few months after These Days.

I'm only 17 so I hadn't even heard of Bon jovi untill I was about 8 or 9! lol! I remember songs like Keep The Faith and You Give Love A Bad Name being played on the radio but that was kinda before I started taking an interest in music.

Crush was the first album I had as I was bought it on my 14th birthday after already buying the It's My Life single, didn't bother buying OWN Live but then I bought Bounce last October then in between I've bought the back catalogue and I have been a huge fan since.

So I guess I've been a TRUE fan for about...3 years!!! (I really wish I was around at least for KTF or even These Days though! )

Exactly same story.. about to go to middle school and already heard the single KTF & ITA wich i thought were great.
I remember finding the album very 'hard' back then with songs as I believe , if i was your mother , fear the solo's. I wasnt very familair with real rock music back than and this album made me go that direction.

I'm glad otherwise i would have no hair, wearing a traningssuit (?) doing weird dances and taking XTC everytime just to have fun and listen to really crap house .(that's how it was called back then) 'I wanna be a hippy and I wanna get stoned'' as only lyric in the song.
Nah rather KTF!!
