Default The Acoustic Album

Personally I was always hoping the acoustic album was going to be done in the studio. I just feel that a studio album is always done better overall. Plus, it has it's atvantages, for example: How well do you think a live acoustic song would do in the charts if it got released? Not very well is the answer where as an acoustic song done in the studio can be made into a single. I also feel a studio album is taken more seriously than a live album. When I see a live album in shops, I personally always think it's just a band putting out something to make a few extra dollars without having to do much. At least with this album you know there will be a lot of work put into it and I really do think this could do amazingly well in terms of sales. Fingers crossed anyway!

I don't know if any of you feel differently about what I've just said?

Jack.

i personally think a live album would have been better, but they are reworking alot of the songs to put them acoustic so im pretty much happy with it being studio.

This is an excellent point! I never thought of this. I would be happy with a live or studio acoustic, but I guess in order for the record label to recoup their costs, they might be looking to release some singles. I think you are 100% right in that a studio song would do better over a live song on the radio. Thanks for this insight.

There will be 2 or 3 new songs on the album so its pretty safe to say they will be realesed.

I think if there are 3 or 4 new songs, we could get a release of one/two of them, and then a double A-Side of Livin' On A Prayer and Wanted Dead Or Alive (they will quite probably make it to the album, even though we've all heard them dozens of times acoustic)
