Default Why Do You Hate Spoilers?

All of this debate about not wanting to know spoilers or download clips, why? I am honestly just asking what the big deal is in listening to a clip or knowing what is on the CD? I am not knocking anyone who chooses to do this, but I just would like to understand.

Someone please explain.

I don't understand either Mouse...after all it was *Jon* that played the clips on the radio....it's not like they have been stolen and put on the net...he *wanted* us to hear them.....seems a big daft to not want to listen to new Bon Jovi if you ask me...

Agreed - I would not have posted stolen early clips. The way I see it is that this is as official as it gets - straight from the horse's mouth so to speak. The band wants this stuff out there if they play it on the radio station that covers New York City and New Jersey.
I guess I just like to know. When a new book comes out that I've been waiting for - I'll read the chapters posted on Amazon until I get the book.
Incurable impatience probably

Kathleen

In this case though, even knowing the tracklist doesn't mean we know what the songs will sound like, if what the band have said is anything to go by.

When Crush and Bounce were released I searched for all the info I could get on them. In the process though, I found the opinions of a lot of other people. As much as I tried to be impartial, I couldn't help but be a little biased by what I had already read. I looked at the tracklisting for This Left Feels Right. That was no big deal. Just becuase I know what songs are going to be on the album, doesn't mean I know how they'll sound. I didn't mind hearing the stuff Jon played on the radio yesterday. There was noone elses opinion pushed on me with it. I just want to make sure when I hear the songs for the first time, I'm giving them a fair listen without anyone elses review already in my head. I know, I can just ignore what I've heard, but it's hard to do that. At least for me. It's like a lawyer asking a question in court and the other side objecting. It's too late. Once that question is out, the jury is going to have that in their mind, even if the judge told them to disregard it.

Yeah, I think the same way.

Also, I think for me it's the quality too...I want to hear the full quality CD played right through, not just 1 minute clips in mp3 format.

In terms of the tracklist, I looked to see what that was, but looking at the tracklist doesn't give me any idea of how they sound.

I haven't really read the posts about the clips, because I would like to hear the album for myself before I make any judgement on it.
