I found this on Ebay and am slightly dubious!!! The info seems convincing enough but one thing seems to ring alarm bells. Anyone whose seen the Live from London vid, especially those who are guitarists, could possibly say otherwise, but doesnt Richie's cherryburst strat have a BIRDSEYE MAPLE neck (which the guitar in this auction doesn't have!!!!)

that isn't his. it's a standard issue US sambora strat. i wouldn't risk that much on something like that without some real evidence.

I know that isn't his (it says so) and I wouldn't buy it anyway (I've got one!) but I just wondered if it could be a load of b****ks about the rest of the stuff that's written?

i remember on the richie sambora messageboard a few years ago a guy saying he'd got fender to build him an exact re0plica and said it ran something like $300 or £3000 cant totally remember and it sounds like that guy.

i always thought he had been from europe but i just clicked on that fender custom shop only deals with US and Canadian clients so he must have been US based. it looks real enough but as i said im sure he said it cost 3000 whatever (probably dollars)

so unless u like ur collectors pieces i wudnt bother.

on another note last year i was talking to a guy about buying a black paisley sambora strat that was a prototype of the one u see there. it ended up not going thru cos he was talking about it as a collectors item and i was like hey man i want it to play it not sit and go oooh this is collectable but i just found out theres only a few of them ever been made so now im kind of kicking myself.
