Default Lets be happy we get an album

Now I know that I might get some flack for writing this but come on people. We are lucky enough to be fans of the greatest band on earth and all I'm reading about is how crappy this new album is. It's not even out yet and already it's taking a sh*t kicking from the people who put the band on the pedistal. I for one am looking forward to hearing it. I'm glad BJ is in a position where they can go left if they want and diversify. Lets look at other bands who would love to be in this situation, you mean to tell me if Def Leppard could pull this off they wouldn't do it? Lets be happy we have a band to celebrate and we're not writing posts about how we miss them cause they had to call it quits cause no one wants to hear them anymore. I think some of us are taking BJ for granted and we as a fan base should embrace this as a positive. I know I'm gonna get drilled for this but I just had to get it off my chest. Thanks for reading

You mean to tell me they couldn't? Other bands tend to make real records, with new songs, instead of compilations for the Xmas sales.

I don't mind the new record, but I sure as hell hope it's not one of these "end of a chapter" things where after they release a compilation and a mediocre album they take a two year break like what's being rumoured. I think we'd deserve a new album every few years, not compilations. The box set has been delayed enough already and the promised DVD's never got published. Now the bonus materials are supposed to make everything good?

Actually weve had 2 studio albums on three years, so your getting that. This album is a bonus, when will people realise that??? Were getting two new songs, its better than nothing at all.

This album is a tool to make money on the Xmas markets. When will you realize this?

I said I don't mind this album, but it looks like Bon Jovi are taking a break. They're releasin two compilations back to back. First TLFR and then the box set (which will be, let's face it, a compilation). We've gotten two mediocre albums in the last 3 years, and now they release their old songs again twice. Not good.

you got a point there. we are lucky they're still here we are lucky they release albums but i think that many people from what they've heard so far are not satisfied by these songs. but again we can't know yet so we'll just have to wait and see.

I agree... and if you don't like the previews of the songs, and if you're complaining about the tracklist, and if you don't like Jon's voice, and if you hate the artwork... then don't buy the album Most of us haven't invested money in this project yet so we have no reason to be complaining. At all.

Not yet we haven't. But anyone who buys the album will.

And hasn't anyone stopped to wonder why they release a compilation so quickly after an album? Could missing the 100 million mark have anything to do with it?

so what? we could carry on with the conspiracy theories until we're all blue in the face but it won't do any good. you aren't in the band so don't pass judgement on what they are aiming to achieve with this is album. if it is true that they are trying to reach 100million, who cares? they not allowed to have pride in reaching that landmark? how they get there is irrelevant. none of us will make it to those dizzy heights so let's just respect that they are doing what they are doing for their own reasons. if you think it's a big marketing objective they are trying to achieve, don't buy it.....simple as.

Who's talking about conspiracies? This is about business, about money. Clear as day.

Who's judging? I'm suggesting. I want people to think for themselves, which many obviously won't do. It's not like this album is a gift for the fans, far from it. Their making us pay for the same songs again, and we should be happy? This is the 3rd compilation album and the 4th one is on the way.

Yeah, they're allowed, but they shouldn't have boasted about it before they did broke the limit. Now it just seems sad.

Why shouldn't I? I'm gonna buy it anyway, hell, I'll probably buy the Japanese import, and that's what gives me the right to complain. I'm not telling anyone what to think or judging anyone, I'm calling it like I see it. You can be happy for a compilation album, I'll be happy when they release a good record with new songs.
