I am doing an essay on jovi, we have 2 do one in english class and it can be about anything so of course i chose jovi. I should know excatly wot 2 write but suddenyl my mind have gone blank, anyone got any ideas? also the teacher says he wil bring in a CD player and i can pick a song that would sum up jovi, can anyone think of wot song would do that? thanks for any help

Dry County for the song that sums 'em up. It has great lyrics and marks the time in the guys' careers when they decided to stick together after their mini-split and keep on doing the thing they loved most - making great music!!

Also, it lasts 10 minutes so it means you'll have to talk less during the presentation!!!!

i'm going for prayer for the song. it's more widely known and will probably have the class at least nodding their heads! erm as for a theme, go for maybe the way they keep rising back up? ie from the split or breaks between albums etc.

Yeh Prayer would go down well, you could say how most BJ songs have a postive theme to theme ie to never give up. Quite a few Jovi songs put accross this message, Saturday night, Bounce KTF, Its my life. But I think Prayer would be the best example to use.

You should get an audio or visual version of the 1989 VMAs where Jon and Richie played Wanted and Prayer. That performance was the beginning of MTV's Unplugged series
