Hmm, it seems that the two new songs were omitted from the tracklist at bonjovi.com... I wonder why? Are they no longer on the album?

I went to Backstage and found out that part of the interview was also omitted:

How about the two new compositions here?

JON: We had about a half a dozen, and when I played “Last Man Standing” for the band, they went crazy. Dave Bryan said, “It sounds like an instant Bon Jovi classic.” That made me feel fantastic. The lyric meant so much to me in this age of the lip synch, the hour and a half show and headlines about what movie stars are marrying what movie stars. It’s such a shallow pool these days, and truthfully it made me sad. All people talk about is what J Lo had for dinner, and watching the record business the way it is these days is so depressing. I wrote the song thinking about Bob Dylan and I took it from the point of view of a carnival huckster. I put myself in that position, standing people outside the tent dragging a crowd into the freak show. And in my mind, it’s Dylan standing there with his moustache and that bolero outfit he wears now. It’s about someone like him who really plays and really sings. It’s not me. It’s not the band. It’s Bob Dylan, and especially on this day when Johnny Cash died - it’s good to salute Dylan. He’s one of the only real greats still out there doing it. The other new one is called “Thief of Hearts” and it’s something that I wrote with Pat. It’s a voyeuristic, boy-girl thing.



And last but not least, Masa Itoh, a Japanese radio DJ that is friendly with the band (he apparently doesn't announce BJ info on the radio unless it is official from the band, or he talks to the band himself- VERY credible guy) said that the two new songs will NOT be on the album.

You may be right about the new songs. I work in advertising for a major retailer, and help in the print advertising. We were putting the finishing touches on the circular for the week of the new Bon Jovi CD, when the label called and told us to OMIT the extra copy mentioning the two new songs. It's possible that they could be included on one of the international versions instead, but this does seem strange to pull them this late in the game. Only time will tell.

If this is the truth then us US fans are going to be pissed. I seriously couldn't see it being fair. It just pisses me off even more because you guys get everything. And that would be very anal of them to do something like that. It just really disspoints me because I was really looking forward to the 2 new songs... Some of us can't afford to buy these things from overseas... Bullshit, absolute bullshit... Me excitement level went from High to average....

Jon is power hungry and he thinks he controls the band. Well, we got news for him.. The RECORD company controls the band and obviously the record company's had to be d*cks and take them off the record... Pisses me off... I am furious!
