BON JOVI: THE LATEST INFO...
(Wednesday, October 27, 2004)

So, notice any changes to the flash intro on this site? Nice, huh? Look for more changes little by little leading into the release of 100,000,000 BON JOVI FANS CAN'T BE WRONG...

There will be info and images and cool stuff on the way in conjunction with the release date.

Some more info as an FYI:

- JON BON JOVI is currently out on the campaign trail supporting Sen. John Kerry and Sen. John Edwards. He performed at a rally in Pittsburgh last week, Detroit this week and Green Bay this week already... tonite he's in Iowa with Kerry and then tomorrow he joins Sen Edwards at stops in Iowa, Wisconsin and Raleigh, NC by week's end. Please note: we're not telling you who to vote for but as many fans are curious about Jon's schedule, we're providing the best info we have at this very moment. Please keep in mind, coming into these last crucial days before the November 2 election, the candidates' schedules, travel and press events are booked, changed, confirmed, completed all in a NY minute... so anything is subject to change. Nothing is in stone as everyone is working so fast out on the road - getting info back to this little ole website is definitely not the key priority out there! So, keep your ears and eyes open locally in the swing states and maybe Jon will be in your neck of the woods.

JON BON JOVI did do radio interviews with six stations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa this morning to get the word out about the Kerry rally this afternoon... it's very possible he'll do local radio in the markets he's visiting with Sen. Kerry and/or Sen. Edwards. Again, this is not being coordinated by us nor is the priority to get this info on this website so we'll pass along what when know, when we know it but keep tuned locally. What did Jon talk about in these interviews? They talked politics, they talked next album, they talked box set, they talked football (AFL veteran and now NFL NY Giants Quarterback Kurt Warner came out football in the Hawkeye state so Jon had plenty to talk about!)

Look for more info in the coming weeks about:
- TV appearance as-yet-unannounced
- *Official, final and confirmed* details on Borgata ticket sales
- Radio promotion for the box set the band will do
Many of you may have read an article that www.billboard.com ran yesterday based upon a full-length feature article on the band... here's the scoop so everyone is clear. BILLBOARD magazine does HIGHLIGHT ISSUES on artists. In the BILLBOARD magazine issue that hits newsstands Friday, NOV 12. BON JOVI is the HIGHLIGHT ARTIST. Included will be a biographical piece on the band, Q-n-A with Jon, Richie, Tico and Dave, testimonials from friends and colleages and all-around great background info on the band's career, international profile, touring history. DEFINITELY an item for the collectors - BILLBOARD is available worldwide usually. It's a keeper.

BON JOVI Samplers have arrived and will begin showing up at radio stations and retail outlets around the US (international made the same samplers too so they'll be distributed as well) -- so as we head into November 16th, more and more Bon Jovi will be out and about in the world.

Some scoop?
- YES. BON JOVI WILL BE PERFORMING SONGS OFF THE BOX SET AS PART OF THE SET LIST DURING THE NOVEMBER 21ST SHOW AT THE BORGATA.
- The booklet includes personal messages from each band member
- The booklet includes fan testimonials, some of which have spelling or grammar or syntax errors. Bon Jovi fans are from all over the world - and we know many don't speak English as their main language. They didn't try to over-sanitize the testimonials otherwise it would take away the international flavor. Some are poignant, some are funny, some are inspiring and some are raunch. A real good cross-section of longtime and new fan, old and young, all countries, all backgrounds... you guys did the band proud. The testimonials are peppered throughout pages that include images and info on the songs in the box set.

Finally, BON JOVI have written, recorded and mixed their next studio album. It's pretty much done, folks! There are no 100% confirmed details to share... Jon and Richie have talked it up during interviews for the box set and more and more info will begin to come out. It will be out in the earlier part of 2005. A single will come out first. Touring is in the pipeline. Beyond that, there is no definitive news to announce. Let's focus on the box set on its way...

I doubt they could match the MTV Movie Awards performance in 94, but I agree it would be cool for them to do again.

I didn't think it was that great. Jon looked bored and lost on stage....so yeah...they could stand to do it better. The question is how Jon will attack it vocally now.

The MTV Movie Awards performance has slipped into obscurity. How many people here have a mint quality complete clip of that performance? I bet those that have it..have the poor quality/end cut-off clip that has been going around. Is it really that hard to preserve something that is only 10 years old?

I have stuff older than 10 years that looks great but I think that most people are more concerned with saving HD space than preserving music (or video). Unfortunately, I don't have that clip in either good or bad quality so I can't comment on it.

I still have the actual airing of the live clip of Living on a Prayer from the Slippery tour in NY on the 1987 MTV Music Video Awards. The audio track is different from the one on SWW - The Videos. It's more boomy and the pyro is louder than the remixed audio on SWW - The Videos.

From 1991 to 1994 I was missing in action as a Bon Jovi fan, pre-occupied with College and unable to keep up, with no cable to catch them on MTV. I didn't pick up Keep The Faith until 1994! Anyway, so I wasn't really paying attention or prepared to tape the GGDAWW performance at the time, or I would still have it to this day.

I am getting that clip on DVD soon. All I have right now is the fair quality VCD version. I'll let you know how it turns out.

EDIT: After watching this clip again there is NO WAY Jon would be able to sing like that nowadays. If they did do it again, I think the feel of the song would be alot different.

I have the original show on VHS, I'll have to check it out again and see if I can convert it.
I agree, that was an awesome performance, it's one of my fav BJ songs.

Aloha !

My guess is that they will play Edge Of A Broken Heart. Since they will be rehearsing for sure since they haven't played those songs for a long time and since this song is a fan favourite (that they're very well aware of) my guess is that this song will be on the setlist. Let's just hope that it won't be as dull as the Borgata show, and that they actually make it a real rock show.

Sure, but they forget that the price is three or four times higher as in the USA.
