I have just been surfing the internet(bored) and looking up JBJ and have goten a good look at Dorothea. All I have to say is EWWWWW...She is sooo UGLY. I LOVE JBJ and have been a fan for 20 years but geezzz. I have also seen quotes regarding him loving money more that her. I truly feel that they don't have a very stable marriage at all and she keeps getting pregnant to try to save a failing marriage(she is in her 40's and still having kids, come on). I feel sorry for Jon. He even said himself that when he started working on Slippery When Wet she couldn't handle him being gone all the time and him being so involved in his work BUT he loved her and when Slippery was a HUGE success and he now had millions he went and asked her to come back to him and , what a surprise, she said yes. I think she has been in it just for the money from the beginning and the reason they are not divorced yet is because he is gone all of the time working. I would bet my life savings she has or is cheating on him. Does anyone have any thoughts on this...WITHOUT GETTING HATEFUL, this is just my opinion..I am obviously not there and do not know for sure but the facts support my opinions.

I just saw this on the VH1 board and wondered what you thought of it. Personally i disagree with it, i have heard that Jon said that he had always wanted four kids, and i thought that his comment about him loving money more than his wife was just a joke, and didn't they get back together before slippery came out?

That quote was a joke and it's been taken out of context. It originally appeared in Movieline magazine and it was obvious that he was joking. Their relationship has lasted over 20 years and the marriage has lasted 15, so it's amusing that a stranger can look in and say "I don't think it's very stable." If you've been looking at quotes about Dorothea, you probably found that Jon said he wouldn't trade her in for the latest Hollywood starlet because that would be the stupidest thing he could ever do and he thinks she's the most beautiful woman in the world, inside and out. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. None of us know what goes on in their personal lives, but they're still together which is more than most couples can say about their marriage after 5 years, much less 15.

Really, as far as I'm concerned Jon is free to marry and remain married to whoever he wants and the way he wants. I really couldn't care less whether she cheats on him, he on her or they have a bunch of children.

And I think it's pretty clear that Jon was joking when he said that!!

But really, who cares? It's called private life and everyone is entitled to one

Everything I've ever heard suggests that he's the one who did the cheating. I have no idea what goes on in their personal lives. And I don't really care but I think it's interesting that you would think that she cheated on him. He's the one with the most opportunity.

What an ignorant post. Have you never heard the saying ' beauty is in the eye of the beholder'?! And what on earth makes you think they have an unstable marriage?? Every picture you see of them together they are holding hands, and to me they embody the 'soul mate' theory. Even Richie has said they were 'just meant to be'.
As for Dorothea being ugly, what a joke! I don't know what pictures you've been looking at, but she is far from ugly.
As for Jon cheating on her, he's pretty much admitted he has during his 'grey period'.
I think now they've got kids and Jon seems content with his life that he's unlikely to cheat again.
To me your entire post sounds rather bitter.

Jon can be married to whoever he wants its got nothing to do with the music whatsoever. Noone really knows her but she appears to be a beautiful and strong woman. Plus where is it stated so called good looking guys must marry supermodel types??

That first paragraph isn't what i think, i found it on the Vh1 board and just wondered what you thought of it. Personally i think that Dorothea is a very beautiful woman and that Jon loves her and they are happy(see the smaller paragraph) at the end.

You know, there's quotation marks, quotes, italics, anything to show you're actually quoting and not voicing your opinion. It helps make things clear

Ugh.

The only reason Dorothea is referred to as ugly is because people have this expectation that someone like Jon is going to be with someone considered to be a supermodel type as Katitude said. As a Pisces analyzing another Pisces....Jon needs someone with depth and soul and Dorothea is overflowing with it. A Supermodel wouldn't have a chance. The only girls (and some guys) making statements like this are the ones who see she has a relatively everyday appearance and start thinking they have a shot with Jon. First, they'd have to up their IQ. Then they'd have to do away with their superficiliality.

I think she's beautiful. When I look at photos of her I see a strong, intelligent woman. She's the type that if you are blessed enough to call her your soulmate....you don't let that go. That's what a Pisces wants and needs.
