Cool

Utter bull shit from Jon's mouth about playing 'everywhere'. If everywhere means Europe, America & Japan, he is right I guess!

JON : We've been everywhere and we used to jokingly say we'll go anywhere they had electricity and if they didn't have it we'd bring our own... you know that's how we thrived for the last 20 years as we just go Africa, Asia, Europe, Centrale America, Australia, New Zealand you name it!

Actually they do have a history of appearing or donating to relief effort type things. I imagine if they can work it out they will do something for the hurricane relief effort. Why would you slam them for helping other people or do I just misunderstand you??
As for the touring everywhere it was pretty obvious that jon meant that at some point in their 20 plus year history they have played pretty much everywhere, and that they have been in these places at one time or another.

of course it's a good thing that they help other people, but both you and I (and jon/richie) should know that it takes more then some charityconcerts... of course, many people think that's the right way, i don't. live 8 for one, if you ask me that was just one big commercial tv show (with some exceptions), has any thing become any better for the people in africa? bob geldolf's efforts are of course price less, but still , seeing the world's biggest acts bouncing around in their Guzzi outfits and speak about helping the third world countries are quite embarrising.

Yes it does but events like these raise alot of money that ends up being used for relief efforts. Everyone does or should do what they can. BJ are entertainers, they join a relief concert, raise awareness and a butt load of cash, usually make personal contributions. Jon and Richie can't go join the cleanup crew, or go work the food line, because that would be more of a distaction than a help, having them there. so they do what they can. I just don't see what is wrong or embarrassing about this.
I work for a company that along with retail restaurant outlets, also grows wheat and the other grains we use in our products. Tomorrow, we are all spending 12 hours baking bread etc... that's going to get shipped to Loiusiana and Mississippi for hurricane relief supplies. This is what we can do so we are.
