Talking The First Time

Do you guys remember where you were when you first heard a Bon Jovi song?

I do.

I was 7 years old and I found one of my mom's tapes. It only had 2 songs on it(Bed of Roses, and Lay Your Hands on Me). I loved those songs and I still do. I think Bed of Roses has got to be one of THE BEST SONGS EVER! I am glad I found that tape because it introduced me to the best band ever. Love to hear y'all's stories.

I don't have but like 10 of their albums. I've never heard In these Arms, but Keep the Faith is a really good song.

Well a long time ago.. probably 1999, my brother started making like 5 minute films with his mates because he had a new digital video camera (an awesome one). And we decided to make an 80s sitcom; and in the dance clip we played "You give love a bad name". That was when i first heard Bon Jovi (at least from what i remember). Then a long time later, probably 2003 i heard a contestant on Australian Idol sing "Livin on a Prayer".. But i only really got into Bon Jovi when my brother downloaded "Always" and i cried reading the lyrics.

Regards
-Rhys

5th grade field trip on the bus. Every kid on that bus had a copy of Slippery When Wet. I had no idea what it was. The driver finally put the cassette in the player on the bus and everybody was singing every word.

I remember during the beginning of Social Disease, all the kids started screaming really loud. I found out afterwards it was because of the moans made by the girl in the beginning. I had no idea at the time.

It could have been when I heard Bad Name on the radio once when I was about 8 ...

It could have been when I heard Saturday Night on the radio at around about the same time ... for about the next 7 years I was trying to figure out who that song was by!

I vaguely remember Always as well, so I really have no idea!

I was in my dad's car and Always came on the radio.
about a short time later These Days came out and I've been a fan ever since.

It was the late 80's and Lay Your Hands On Me was blasting out of my sons bedroom. I asked him who it was and then went out and bought the entire back catalog.

I don't remember where I was, but I was 8 and Always was played everywhere here in Italy. I think I have to thank my sister, it was her who bought Crossroad and showed me pics of Jon and had wallpapers all over our room. Anyway, I didn't know a single word of English at the time but I knew Always by heart
