Default Slowed Tempo Songs On Tour

First of all, my deepest excuses because of my damn bad english...

I know this point has been talked a lot in million different threads but... This is the last update. Who says, One last cigarrete, Story of my life and Last man standing (as far as i've heard) have been changed a lot. The guys slowed down the tempo. But why?

Why, and for the first time (whithout counting blaze of glory because jon's shouting in most of the songs) we have "I am" and "these open arms" half tone down?

Why have the band decided to make the shortest tour in their career?

Why do we have those shitty choruses in HAND like Story of my Life and Last cigarrete? The verses are in higher tone than the chorus!

Jon hardly has breath to sing and that's my opinion in the point above which i talk about the slowed down tempo songs.

I'm not a wise man, and I don't have any universal knowledge ( but Descartes) so i would be very thankful if you share your opinions with me.

Don't misunderstood me, im as fan as you could be!

Xavi, from Barcelona

I don't know how any one other than the band can answer that. Everyone has their theories though, I'm sure.

So did they play those two songs live? And they tune down to make the songs easier to sing.

In the 10 shows I've been to this tour I Am and These Open Arms have not been played. Also, I haven't noticed any of the new songs being toned down when performed live.

Those songs haven't been played live! I meant that for the first time A STUDIO VERSION of the song has been tuned down!

That's an INSANELY naive statement to make if you think those two are the only two songs tuned down half a step. Like, really.

I donīt know if this is the first time Bon Jovi uses tuned down guitars on a record, so I wonīt address that..
One reason I can think of for tuning the guitars down on the studiotracks (and naturally the rest of the band adjust their key..), is that it generally gives the guitarplaying a heavier feel and sound, itīs a pretty standard procedure. This could be a valid reason for I am which relies on a heavy guitarsound, I havenīt heard these open arms so I donīt know if it could be true for this song aswell.
Another possible reason is that the pitch was to high to sing (with the guitars tuned in E) and they didnīt want to change the way the song was played on the guitar..

But, as already mentioned, these are just speculations.
