Default Heat Meter
Here in Canada we get this show called Heat Meter where they pit two artists/bands against each other. Yesterday they had Green Day vs. Bon Jovi which, to no surprise, Green Day won. The catagories were crap but I'm wondering who you would've picked 'cause I know not everyone here loves JUST Jovi. Then again I'm not sure there are many Green Day fans around this board either..

They had:

Hairdo's - Bon Jovi
Live show - Green Day
Can't remember the topic.. - Green Day
Sappiest songs - Bon Jovi
Girl magnet - Bon Jovi
Political - Green Day
and of course the tie breaker..
Comeback - Green Day

What do you think?

gaz is right totally right. And I'm not being biased, I have nothing against GreenDay either, I think theyre cool. I have a sister-in-law who loves them but if she told me that they were more substantial than BonJovi, I'd tell her she had some serious listening, looking, and think to do.
I've done a mental comparison of the two when I was bored, and just because I think about things like that, but I couldn't see any way that GreenDay would beat out BonJovi for anything. I found myself saying "no way"
when I read the results for those categories you posted. Again, I'm not just being biased, I think I heard or read once where David Bryan likes GreenDay alot. They are a great band but come on, on the same level with BonJovi?
Not yet atleast. Maybe even never.

my sister's crazy about Green Day and made me watch their latest concert dvd

it wasn't a particularly good show

"wow he humps the stage and puts his hand in his pants, how hardcore and cool he must be!"

I agree with Green Day on political, but Bon Jovi should have won comeback

I've seen both BJ and GD live in the past few months. Bon Jovi by a landslide.

i even question if greenday hae the longevity i think they will be gone in 3 albums time

Greenday was already pretty big (at least over here) when you were like 5-6 years old (so still crawling around in dipers i geuss)
