It started to bother me when we discussed about those songs we´ve heard wrong and you mentioned Bitter Wine. What did you heard wrong in it?(Said something about cleaner side..) You said that you can´t post it in here.. So could you please mail it to me always@jovimail.com. it really bothers me

I have to admit I never heard that before either but yesterday after I read your post I had a look at the lyrics. Funny.
That's probably why it's a bonus track... because it's illegal in some US States!

That was the part I was talking about. I originally thought that he said, "you were giving me hell" you know, like yelling & arguing with him. What did you think he said Christy?

He really said head? - I always thought he said hell. No wonder it was left off New Jersey...& KTF

Just checked my These Days booklet and he says head. I understood hell, too.

I believe the line is:
You were giving me head
on that creaky old bed
at the old Duvall motel.

I always thought it made sense because head and bed rhymed. Guess my mind is in the gutter.
