does anyone know when the original version was recorded and when it was re recorded? i like the second version more because Jon`s voice is very raw sounding on it.

Well the was recorded originally for Keep The Faith, which was 1992. Not sure about the Box Set version though.

yeah it was deffinately for KTF, didn't they do a few re-recordings to add more lyrics and lengthen songs etc?

I remember Obie saying the version on the box set is the "off the floor" vocal that was used for the other guys to be able to add their parts to the song. That's why it sounds so raw.

thanks i would love to know what year that vocal was recorded. i think that for this greatest hits album they should re record some of the older songs and make them a bit like that. i think that raw sound kicks ass

I agree. I love the rawness of Jon's vocal too.

fantastic aint it. it sounds and feels like its coming from the pit of his stomach like hes giving it all he can. i really like it when he sings like that although its not as powerfull as it once was the actual sound he makes is awesome imo.

re record some of the old stuff for the new album (greatest hits 2) please

..a japanese bonus track!...I think they should make an album of bonus tracks only...as they seem to have that raw edge!...Jon's voice has Blaze of Glory feel to it...But I'm not sure if his voice will hack that anymore!...but nothing like a Jon scream...like the IBTFY one...I bet it hurt but it was worth it!
