No, they didn't.
People tend to complain more about the sources used for the live album...not the song choices. That's exactly how I feel, too.
If you seriously think that Keep The Faith as presented on OWN Live is the best........then you really do not know what Bon Jovi is capable of live..and that is what this CD really lacks. One need go no further than the One Last Wild Night Giants Stadium performance for a much better example of Keep the Faith.
Living On A Prayer and Bad Name...whilst not only being lifted from the DVD...but neither are particularly special or have higher energy.
This album was a rush job...plain and simple..and not worthy of being held up in history as a live document of Bon Jovi. It's fine to like it and all..but be aware that things get much better than was presented.
Living on a Prayer and Bad Name should have been taken from the New Jersey tour......the combo of still being performed with the energy of new songs while having matured in a live setting by being in their sophomore go-round really pushed them forward on that tour.
The live album's high points are the Tokyo 1985 tracks, Someday I'll Be Saturday Night and Something to Believe In. I admit I do like the choice for It's My Life and Just Older. After that..it's all downhill.
Even the single/video chosen...Wanted Dead Or Alive......very typical of the album.....subpar boring performance. Go listen to Moscow 1989 and that's a live band who does it like they mean it.
