Question Faithfullto his wife and family?

So I was talking to some friends about how much I love Bon Jovi, and how his songs are so inspiring for lovers. He really talks about true love. I was saying he must be an amazing husband and father. One of my friends said that they read in an article that JBJ's wife said she didn't mind that John was sleeping with fans when he was on tour, because she said she knew who he was coming home to. Is this true. Is John unfaithfull to his wife. Are the love ballads just lyrics of tru love, or does John live true to his music???? Anyone know? Anyone read the alleged article that my friend claims to have read?

I don't think Jon has made any secret that he hasn't been 100% faithful, he admits as much in Bed of Roses, but I've never heard anything about Dorothea giving Jon permission to play away.

I don't know how it is now but he for sure wasn't always faithful. I can't imagine that a guy in his 20s who get offers of girls all the time always says "sorry, I'm engaged/married".

His wifes probably knows how to deal with it.

I don't think the mistress he talks about in Bed of Roses is a literal mistress. I think he is talking about his second (or first?) love music and having to be gone all the time on the road.

Of course he might have said yeah to the bartender so perhaps you're right.

No, not the mistress, which as you said is obviously the music industry but "the blonde that was still in his bed" was his confession that he slept with another woman. Jon himself has described the song as his confessional.

I don't think so. I believe it is a metaphor to the one thing that robs him from his family/wife. Just as Kathleen pointed out.

The only confession I ever heard him addressing with this song is just that. Not that of cheating.

There are a lot of other parts in lyrics that lead one to believe he was anything but faithful and could be interpreted as true confessions if you will. Bed of Roses isn't one of them though.

I'd say that they are thinking of an article that was in People Magazine about 4 years ago. Dorothea says of fans - "I literally had women crawl over me to get to the band." she goes on to say "But I'm also...I don't know if it's stupid enough or smart enough to think he's going to come home to me at the end of the day. So I'm not going to sit and bite my nails and get gray hair over it." After which Jon got defensive and said that he doesn't need two girls. Hope this has helped with your question monkeyboy.
