Default Band Memoir coming out at the end of the year.

In the Aussie InStyle magazine (with J-Lo on the cover for those Aussie's that want to get a copy) Jon says that the band has a memoir coming out at the end of the year.

He said it is not going to be a cliched rock-band story and will be a little smarter than what people are expecting.

Hmmmm. Not sure if I believe this. I'm not saying you're lying or anything but Jon has always said they'll never write a book. Who knows though, maybe he changed his mind. It would be interesting if there were one in the works though.

Yea, I remember him saying stuff like that too.
This is a legit mag and it was a current interview, there was a little story at the front about the lady who interviewed him. She said he was charming
He also talked about Soul and the grammy award.

well why miss a chance to cash in on 25 years in a rock band! just think a story about a band selling 100 million albums, still going after 25 years, outlasting every other 80s band even tho they wouldnt have been everyones first choice too!

i think it would make sense for the band to write a book and jon isnt 2 shy of going back on his word

I agree its a great idea

A memoir is much different to a tell all book which I am sure is the type of book jon or the band would never do - thank god!

Cant wait to see it

I could totally see this happening. But we still won't hear the cliche rock star stuff. I think it will be pretty clean but at least it would be official!

Jon changes his mind all the time lately but he talked about that like one year ago .. well not himself but there were stories going around months ago that he wanted to sell the band story for 2 millons dollars
one fan winning a lunch with him months ago talked about meeting the guy who is writing the book ... david ritz
I am happy it's not gonna be a biography style ....

Well Jon always said they don't talk about their private lives in public, but I don't think I've heard anything to suggest he'd be against talking about the history of the band in terms of just the band, not bringing their private lives into the stories. Could be good if they all have a hand in it, perhaps stories of things that happened in the studio, backstage at shows etc perhaps what they think of some of the albums and songs. I wouldn't be interested if it was too personal anyway - I like Bon Jovi as a band that makes music I enjoy, I don't really care to read about people I don't know. Never really a big fan of biographies.

Cool! Can't wait to read it. I'm with Thomas, I'm not interested in a Bon Jovi book akin to Motley Crue's, The Dirt. I don't need to know that stuff, lol!

I kinda like biographies when they are about people who had interesting lives. BJ really didn't/doesnt had that, Jon is just another rockstar who lives a damn normal boring life for a rockstar
