I hope this song grows on me. So far, though, it's "just all right" to me.

I can listen to it but not for very long or not over and over.

I hope I feel a stronger affection for some of the other songs on Lost Highway.

I admire them though. It's not "bad" just not my taste.

Yes, he did. It wasn't loud enough at the beginning but then got better. It was very cool they had the orchestra on stage. Jon started out a little shaky, to me, like he was nervous but it got better as he went on.

At the end, Jon said, "hang in there Adam". That makes me very sad as I'm sure he's referring to Richie's dad, Adam Sambora.

Yeah Richie sang the outro. The mix was terrible as expected, but the song really came off as boring, and I love love love the song. The crowd looked bored. It was nowhere near as good as the acoustic performance from the ballroom.

I actually liked it better than the acoustic performance just because of the added intstrumentation. I didn't think the mix was that bad.

I agree with wolfgang. I love the song, but it was just... boring. And my horror is they're going to perform that song in front of 35 million people on American Idol. It's a weird reaction for me. I love the song. I thought Jon sounded great. But I still don't think it's a great "live" song. It was just ho-hum. I hope they change their minds and perform something with a little more zest on American Idol.

the song has grown on me. reminds me of someone.

Anyhow, it was a great performance, I think. Not a rocking one though. Just a laid back one, to fit the mood of the song.

Though I agree the crowd wasn't really into it. But they are a country crowd...and here there is this rock band performing. I mean, look at the lackluster intro that Foxworthy did. He actually sounded a bit excited to introduce the other performers. but not so with Bon Jovi. At least that is just the vibe that I got from it.
