Default Setlist

We have our first gig lined up and have a basic set drawn up but would greatly appreciate opinions over song order or possible additions/omissions:

Raise Your Hands (4:50)

Bad Name (3:40)

Always (7:10)

It’s My Life (3:40)

Born To Be My Baby (5:10)

Runaway (4:40)

Dry County (12:00)

These Days (6:00)

Bad Medicine (5:30)

Wanted (5:00)

Keep The Faith (6:40)

Blood On Blood (6:05)

Prayer (with a capella intro – 5:35)

Total Time 1:16:00

We have to fill an hour and a half max.

Thanks guys

So ... evidently you're a tribute band?

Are you sure the songs are going to run to those exact timings?

I'd definetly chuck in something from HAND, and (if at all possible) from Bounce too

Not sure of Bounce after IML?

Since it's such a short gig, we can't fit everything in that we want to but want to make sure we play as many of the epics in their catalogue as possible.

I have underestimated the timings slightly (since we do adhere to set versions of tracks) but the venue owner says that given the popularity of Jovi tribute bands, he doesn't mind if we over-run slightly.

You gotta have Last Man Standing and/or Have A Nice Day.

That's a preety good set, well balanced and everything. I get the feeling the last Am of BTBMB is gonna lead into the first Am of runaway? That would be cool. None of that time machine crap haha.

12.00 for DC? How come so long?

Are you going to stop these days then start bad medicine? (seperate of each other). Will going from G to E work? Hmm......

Are you going to play High Roller before you come on? I think RYH will sound great after that if (Richie) and (Tico) are spot on with the timing!

I wouldn't put Dry County and These Days after each other. I would play one early and one towards the end.

Yeah, I was unsure of putting DC and TD right next to each other too - might look at that.

The Am for BTBMB and into Runaway was exactly what we were thinking!

12:00 for DC cos our Dave plays a wicked keyboard solo intro much in the vein of their mid-90s performances. It will probably be nearer 11:30 total than 12:00 though, so you're right it won't quite be AS long as that.

Any songs which have a difficult transition key-wise, we were gonna put definite breaks between and let our singer have a bit of a banter with the audience.

I would love to play LMS but at the moment our drummer is still catching up learning wise to the rest of us as he's only been on board for a month or two. Songs we ALL know but have left out are, In These Arms, Bed Of Roses, This Ain't A Love Song, Have A Nice Day and One Wild Night.

There may be a couple of new tracks that we can add before the gig if our drummer picks them up quickly so LMS may feature with possibly something like Lay Your Hands On Me or another big track.

Thanks for the comments so far guys - please keep em coming!

Hi, I would go for something like this:

Raise Your Hands

Bad Name

Keep The Faith

Blood On Blood

Always

Runaway

It’s My Life

Have A Nice Day

Bad Medicine

Bed Of Roses

Wanted

These Days

Someday I'll Be Saturday Night

In These Arms

Prayer (with a capella intro)

I think you are best to pick a couple more songs that are likely to have everyone singing along with rather than taking up 12 minutes with 'Dry County'
