Default Don't Forget R&R Hall Of Fame Vote

Bon Jovi our eligible to be inducted in 2009.So let's make sure they know we are definitely in support of this Band getting in. http://www.futurerockhall.com/artists.php
Scroll down to BON JOVI than click yes.

EEKS right now they only have a 61% chance of being inducted and I kind of find that very low for a band who has brought about so many firsts in Music, concerts, videos etc...and longevity....they are still going strong.

Feel free to pass this all over the net......

The poll on that site is just voted on by fans (or non-fans). It has absolutely no effect on who gets inducted.

Thanks Sarah for that info I did not realize that. I just got all these messages today about this site and to go and vote.

It was kind of fun though watching jovi get so many votes in one day some of the people on their were actually thinking that one person was voting.
And why is their always one angry person on those boards who has no life and responds negatively to all the jovi fans..

Kind of wonder why a person would waste time doing that..

Thanks again..I will definitely stop spreading the link..

Because they're pissed off that they're still around and still popular, unlike whatever crappy band they were into 5, 10 or 15 years ago when they were bashing Bon Jovi saying they'd never be around 5, 10 or 15 years later.

If the RNR Hall of Fame is anything ilke Rolling Stone Magazine, they won't get in. RSM has basically just decided to ignore the fact that Bon Jovi ever existed. They always bashed the band, calling them "flash in the pan", whatever. They've been proven wrong time and time again. Now, they don't even talk about them. To have a 40th anniversary issue talking about the last 40 years of music and not include Bon Jovi is just assanine and childish. We're talking about one of the 5 or 6 most successfull bands of all time and they don't even mention them??? Come on...

I can only hope that Jon - and the rest of the band - will console themselves by laughing all the way to the bank.

Personally, I hate the way this band is treated but in the long run it really doesn't matter much - it's the music that counts. I'm just glad that they are still making music and apparently enjoying it. I'm sure they would like the validation of their peer group but I doubt that it's really necessary anymore.

I just followed some of the links and read a little more about the 61% chance. At this point I would put it lower than that. Dave Marsh is on the nominating comittee. He is a fanatical Bruce Springsteen lover and he hates Jon - personally. Sometimes that is all it takes

When I was an intern at Rolling Stone I got to have lunch one day with Jann Wenner (founder of the magazine AND the hall of fame) and I really wanted to ask him why RS hates Bon Jovi so much. But I decided against that.

I quit reading Rolling Stone magazine after the 80's ...so I missed that one.
Yeah putting into perspective I remember meeting and getting to know the critic of one of the Chicago magazines in the 80's and 90's I than realized I wanted nothing in common with this guy anyways. Sometimes we forget the person sitting behind these lists and magazines are not so glamorous or even slightly cool or edgy...

It still drives me mad though when one- three people sit over on those sites all day just to rip Jovi fans. There are three on the Hall of Fame site that must live there.Deep down I think they might be slightly obssessed with this band. Or we might just be so fun they like hanging out with us.
