It's a tough one ....
It's My Life did exactly what it was supposed to do in terms of being the big come back single ... and it is one of the songs that drew my attention to the band. Since then though, I don't like it quite as much, there's not really a vast amount in the way of interestingness or depth in there. Plus it is absolutely appaling live.
Everyday I've always liked more than most people seem to. I think the different effects in it give it a more interesting sound than IML. Bits of it are really cool (I really like the beginning of the second verse), but the main chorus lyric is a bit weird, it's sort of like they wanted to write another "live my life" song, but couldn't make it work properly. It also seems to be over before its even started.
HAND is a cool song, more organic sounding than either of the other two, and a bit rawer too, which works well with the sarcastic lyrics. To take it in context though, when it came out by this point we were all sick of IML being rewritten, and so it's "live my life" theme brought opinion of it down somewhat. Plus the chorus lyrics are again a bit odd.
So overall ... I have no idea!
