Default I woke up this morning and I said to myself...

... what a great fu%#in' Day for Rock and Roll!

You all know that sentence... but where does it come from? BJ used it a ritual before their Jersey Syndicate shows, but did they pick it up somewhere else? Just curious as I love to quote that a lot!

It's Doc McGhee's line. He uses it with every band he manages, last time with KISS.

And it's, as far as I know: "I woke up this morning and said to myself; Self, what a great ****ing day for rock'n'roll!". At least that what was printed on a T-shirt somewhere.

Interesting!

If James was here, it'd be a hit!

Dude as much as Wanted = Bon Jovi - a ****ing great day for rock & roll = James Brown.

Doc McGhee probably stole it from him, next to the fact that he was never big enough to make a single line world famous it simply is James Brown, proof I have to find but probably will search same you would

I already searched, can't find any mention of James Brown ever saying that. If you find it, post it here.

I can't find it either tbh. It was my first thought, then I saw Devilsson but now I am in doubt.

Still think it is him though, not believing it is Doc for the reason given.

So wondering if not James, who else? (if it was Doc then i need a shot)
