Default Bon Jovi Music Videos

I'm hoping this was placed in the right forum. If not I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience to the mods.

So tell us your thoughts on Bon Jovi videos in general. Are you more a fan of their 80's music videos, 90s or todays? Which video do you truly love of them all and why? Which video do you think Jon or Richie looked simply drop dead gorgeous in? Which video did you find a bit awkward or poorly done?

I myself am a bigger fan of their 80's videos. I think it has to do with my undenying passion for the 80's. I never got to live through them so I only have these rock videos and 80's movies to try and envision them. What I love most about their 80's videos is the way that they would have shots of the band members dancing around on stage, shots of the band in the airplane or bus... shots of some crazy live performances on stage, and the best of all the songs. I love Bon Jovi's earlier work so it's only natural the videos really appeal to me.

I'm also a sucker for Jon's 80ss character and style. He's just so sweet and hot all at the same time. If you ever get the time to do a search on youtube, check out the video "In and Out of Love". The part where Jon's shooting the water gun is to die for xD

I also have this big thing for Living in Sin. The video was amazing done and those close ups on John's lips could kill. HA, and in all the message the band put together is really true and they really knew what they were doing when they wrote those lyrics.

I think Make a Memory was an amazing video. I love that Jon is actually "Portraying the lyrics" in the video and plays a character in the video instead of having other people doing that while he's in the background singing. I also love the little twist ending. Very well done video, and such a beautiful song

Ones I like:

It's My Life
Say It Isn't So
Misunderstood
All About Loving You
Make A Memory
Bed Of Roses (only for the 'magic guitar on mountain bit')

One's I hate:

WSYCGH - stupid ****ing dog!

The rest I'm indifferent to. So i guess I'm more a fan of the post-2000 videos.

First question is impossible to answer. For me, it is just too important to possibly pin point one video.

The next 2 statements, I completely agree with. If it weren't for Jon's lips, I don't think I would have ever gotten into the band.

I generally don't mind the Keep The Faith videos onwards. But you have to cringe at the videos for the first four albums - even Jon says so. Say It Isn't So is pretty damn cool.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

I've never heard that. I know Jon rightfully hates the videos from the first 2 albums, but I've heard him say numerous times how much he loves the video for Wanted.

The only video from the first 2 albums I liked was In and Out of Love. I liked everything from Slippery and New Jersey. I never cared for Lie To Me. Who Says...(dog version) is the biggest pile of crap they've ever filmed.

Forget the lips and the teeth. It's all about Jon's ass!

But to answer the original question, my favorite videos are Lay Your Hands On Me and Keep the Faith.

My least favorite is probably Thank You For Loving Me. I remember - before I was a fan or knew anything about Bon Jovi - seeing the It's My Life video and thinking "Wow they're pretty cool." Then when TYFLM came out I thought "WHAT HAPPENED??"

And yeah, the dog version of Who Says is just horrible.

Say it isn't so has a great video (too bad the song isn't). Somehow KTF still does it for as it was the first video I saw and became a fan for.
I'm always been intriged by the Saturday night video.
That's it, not much worth mentioning
