Question Sylvia's Mother --How to record from DVD to CD?

Sylvia's Mother --How to record from DVD to CD?

I am going to buy the live DVD that contains "Sylvia's Mother".

I want to record that song to a CD.
(I don't have a DVD player in my car. )

Do you know what computer software/hardware
I would need to rip/burn a copy of the vocals to
a CD?
(for a personal copy only)

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx.

There are programs out there that rip the audio from DVD easily. Just Google DVD Audio ripper and you will find a pile of them.

If by any chance, anyone can do this easily, and has the B-side version of Slippery When Wet that was released on the dual disc, please help me out. Since this disc came out, I've been trying to figure out how the hell (not to mention why it's only on DVD) to rip it from DVD to MP3.

This is a fairly advanced method but as it is all-digital transfers you will get the best quality out of it.

Use DVD Decrypter to demux the audio and split it by chapter.

Use BeSweet to decode the AC3 files you will get into WAVs.

Use any audio CD creating program to put the WAVs onto a CD (make sure it is set to not create any gaps between tracks).

You may not fit a whole concert onto one CD.

That's a bit more complex than is neccesary, besides which AC3 is as compressed as MP3 so you don't really get CD quality or anything.

Easiest and best method is to use DVDAudioExtractor, it's very simple to use.
