Got this book called "Bon Jovi: in their own words" for xmas. It is an old library book published in 1997 by Omnibus Press.

I have not properly looked at it yet, there are some fab photos however, but on the reverse of this paperback book it has a few comments by the band.

One by Jon says this..."I'm infatuated with the Krays, I read their life story The Profession of Violence. I even got Reg's autograph, the real Reg. It's on my wall".

Is anyone else thinking what the hell or slightly disturbed by Jons comments here, or am i on my own?

Does it give the context it was said in? If Jon even said it.

when i get time to read the book i will be able to tell you, but at the moment i cannot answer that

actually i see it on page 16 and it says its from april 1989, a jon quote on his heroes, including expected heroes like springsteen etc. the end of the quote also says, "ive always been infatuated with crime"

So the author or compilier of the information chose to put it under heroes, from the quote it doesn't sound like a hero.

To me it sounds like that was the latest book jon read at the time and was talking about it.
Not unlike when he read the books about the monk who sold his ferrari and the new Keith Richards book. He seems to tend to read biographies or autobiographies.

well i kind of understand, because i am obessed with serial killers like ted bundy, BTK, Eilleen, and etc and i watch shows like most evil and biograghy on these serial killers

Doesn't surprise me. Didn't he use one of the Kray brothers names as a pseudonym when checking into hotels back in the 80's?
