Default Top 10 earning celebs

In the Sunday Mirror yesterday that had a Top 10 of everything list for 2008.
Jon was listed at Number 10 in the top earning celebs section - apparantly earning £67 million!
I find this quite hard to believe - maybe this is the proft from the tour but obviously that would be shared between the whole band.

Quite frankly, I find it hard to believe that the band splits whatever money they make from the tour so I guess Jon could have made that much or the reporter made the common mistake of mixing the band with just Jon.

They may be looking at more than just the tour. Jon also makes a lot from songwriting royalties. His football team might have made money this year (I don't know).

I thought any money from the Soul went to the Soul Foundation. Jon has always said is is a non-profit making organisation.

Anything he gives to charity is still money he earned prior to distributing it.

It won't count as his earnings, it'll be held in a trust and distributed from there.

Oh, is that how it works when you make a bazillion dollars? LOL I make a fraction of a fraction of a percent of that, but I donate a portion of my earnings every month then report the charitable donations when I file my taxes.
