Default What's next?

Just wondering.

The band is gonna make a two years tour. So they will stop in 2011...Does it means that we are not gonna have new album until 2013¿? Cause you know, the band is releasing one album per two years, but with this loooooong tour it seems that will change. Maybe they will take a break?

What do you think about it?

Greatest hits sometime next year. Finish tour, start writing their last album, will come out 2013-2014 and one last GH/Album tour.

If you ask me they should release a greatest hits album, tour it, then call it a day. What I actually think will happen is:

Double disc Greatest Hits compilation next year. Basically Cross Road with a couple of changes so they can sell it again, and a new CD with "the best of" from These Days to The Circle including 2 new songs. Then a 2 year sellout worldwide "farewell" tour so they make sure it sells out while charging extortionate amounts for tickets. Have a break, do some solo albums, and then maybe reunite in 2015/2016 for either another album/tour.

Then, all of you think that they will release only 1 or 2 more studio albums?

They need to go out with a bang. There is no point going out with a flop. If The Circle was the last album, thats fine. At least we know they'll go out on a high.

After two years, Jon's gonna be 50. Now, lets assume it takes 2 years to write songs and record an album. He'll be pushing 52 by the time it comes out. I dont know if he has what it takes to last that long - and if we do get a new album, that means a new tour, likely another 2 years, so he'll be mid fifties by the time they finish.

The Circle could be the last, after the tour is over, send out the Greatest Hits and give us a wave goodbye. Out in a blaze of glory.

I am not saying I want them to say goodbye after this album, I think they need to choose a time to do it. They want to go out with a bang.

I've been hoping for new solo projects in every album break since Bounce came out, and we haven't got it yet, so after 5 band albums in 10 years, it could finally be time for that? I hope so anyway, a chance for the band to take a break, Jon and Richie (maybe David too) to stretch their songwriting legs outside of the band for a bit, and then hopefully come back with a new band album in a few years .... maybe 2013 I guess

We all understand that they are not 30 anymore, but cmon! Why can't they just do shorter tours and make more albums? Solo albums or whatever. I don't see The circle as the last Bon Jovi album. PLEASE NO!!!

The most important is that they are really well and seems to be in shape.

EDIT: Is there any interview or something where they talk about the "end" or "farewell" or similar?

maybe I'm just an optimist, but I don't see them breaking up anytime soon. I just think they'll down the scale of the tours and release albums less frequently, ie. The Stones.

I reckon they could go for another decade or so if they chose to, but after that I think they'd definately be pushing it a bit.
