Default Chris Martin - what Jon should be?

Coldplay are recording a new album which going to be a stripped-down, more acoustic collection recorded in an eerie church.

Frontman CHRIS MARTIN is concerned the band are being seen as a huge stadium act and totally inaccessible for their loyal fans.

"Chris is determined not to be seen as a huge commercial rock juggernaut, filling stadiums and cashing in.

"This is the plan to keep them as close to their fans as possible."

Maybe Jon should take note...

Bon Jovi is already way to big to do something like this. And Jon's ego is even bigger.

When bands say something like this, it is obvious that they just had a big record and are afraid of making a follow up that doesn't hold up to the previous album. Lame.

Isn't this the sort of music Coldplay write anyway?

At least Coldplay sit around a table as a band and work on songs.

Jon just presses a few buttons and out pops the usual stale mass marketed shite.

Chris Martin is even more pathetic that Jon is today. Fancy making a "stripped down" album to "keep us close to our fans". It's not like their a stadium rock act. I think yomamasofat hit the nail on the head. They just afraid they can't top their last effort.

Complete bullshit. As Neil Young said "you drive too near the middle of the road and you want to drive back into the ditch".

Yeah, two Wembley stadium shows and numerous other 60 thousand + concerts in the UK and Ireland alone makes them a huge stadium band. They also sell out any shows they put on around the world.

Coldplay get a lot of unfair and unwarranted criticism. Mainly from people who don't get good music.

I love colplay but that singers more of a dick than Jon is. That's just something that they say to have the fans go, "awww they really DO care!". Just like they said before the last album that they were going to retire because they didn't want to become a rock cliched. I'll try to find the quote for you guys later and post it here
