Default Ray Davies duet

From Ray Davies (of the ****ing awesome Kinks) website...

"Ray recently flew out to the States and recorded the Kinks "Better Things" with Bruce Springsteen and "Celluloid Heroes" with Bon Jovi for his new collaborations album. Last year Ray recorded tracks with Alex Chilton (Big Star) and Lucinda Williams at Konk and will be finishing these off in the coming months. We've got a long list of established and new artists from both sides of the Atlantic for the project which Ray will be recording with over the next three to five months. Universal hopes to get the album out the end of this year or beginning of next."

I actually found this one a Bruce Springsteen forum, Greasylake, but I don't really wanna give that place credit.

This will be very cool. I love The Kinks and The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society is one of my favourite albums.

Have you seen the duets Ray has done with the band before? I believe he did Celluloid Heroes at Shepherd's Bush in 2002, and Lola at Hyde Park in 2003.

I remember Lola at Hyde park. When Jon said there was a special guest coming on I thought Bono was going to parachute in. But Ray was a pleasant surprise.

Both aforementioned performances were pretty dire as well. I don't rate him at all as a vocalist.

Ray Davies is an awesome songwriter. I saw Bon Jovi play Lola at Manchester the gig before Hyde Park on the Bounce tour. Gutted I missed him. The Kinks are one of my favourate bands.

I love the version of Celluloid Heroes from '02. Pretty good news.

Niiice! I have liked it since hearing them do it together at Shepherds Bush! It will be nice to have a good recording of it cuz my bootleg is kind of shitty sound quality

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

I love Ray Davies (and the Kinks). I'll be looking forward to hearing this.
