The only time I saw Jon play drums was at the box set show at the Borgata in 2004 when Tico was singing Only in My Dreams. He was pretty dreadful.

There has to be a youtube video of it

Here's one:

There are closeups of Jon during the video.

Where did it come up that he was capable? I don't think I've ever heard of him playing anything other than guitar and dabbling in Piano.

I think Jon said sometime in the 90's that all the band members could play each others instruments. That might be true to an extent but Jon is far from a capable drummer, he struggled with the most basic beat on that Youtube video.

I had never heard that he could. I was shocked at the show when everyone switched places and he sat behind the drums. Notice that he doesn't do more than bang cha, bang cha throughout the song.

Most of us could do the same (I think) LOL

Sadly, you over-estimate MY ability!

I think that video just demonstrates that Jon & Tico both belong right where we usually see them. I love the songs that Tico did at some of the old Christmas shows (especially Crazy), but I can't even listen to this when I play the box set.

Or maybe we should say that once upon a time he COULD play the harmonica. I sure wish he'd give it a try again . . . These Days with the harmonica. <sigh>
