Default Observations--Similarities with Jovi

Ok in a previous thread i pointed out how WWWB & Matchbox 20's If Your Gone had a similiar start.

So i was thinking it would be a bit of fun if any of ye have come across other similarities between Jovi songs and other bands or the other way around....

Here is my contribution Manic Street Preachers's Its Not War start
And
Bon Jovi's Get Ready
Its not blatant but just has a hint of get ready in it

and

If you don't hear that, you are deaf. It's not an exact replica, but still.

If we could compare Jovi to Jovi, that list could go on forever.

I think there has been a thread like this before.

Check out...

Similar sound overall, although both were co-written by Desmond Child.
Hearts Breakin Even - Bon Jovi

It's scary how close these two songs are. The opening chords and the chorus are extremely similar. The first lines of both chorus' even end with the same word, sung in the same tone. "Invinciblleeee"
Captain Crash - Bon Jovi

The arrangement of the verses are so similar I am convinced Jovi sampled it.
Put the Boy Back In Cowboy - Bon Jovi

Scary how close these two songs sound.
Joey - Bon Jovi

The following two songs sound different overall, but you can hear the opening riff during the chorus of Run to You. Also, the lead in after the solos into the last chorus is pretty much identical with the vocals fading in after that riff. Check out 2:37 of the video with 2:41 of HAND.
Have a Nice Day - Bon Jovi

The openings are quite similar, even when the music busts in. The riff and chorus is similar in the last two songs as well.
You Give Love A Bad Name - Bon Jovi

The drum intro to LYHOM is very similar to PSOM by the Leppard. They even both have the "HEY!!" after each drum riff. Apart from that, the songs are very different.
Lay Your Hands On Me - Bon Jovi

Bitter Wine - Bon Jovi

Two Story Town - Bon Jovi

Not identical, but kind of similar arrangment.
The Distance - Bon Jovi

And of course, you cant forget these two. They have the same chorus arrangement, as well as the keychange.
Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi

That's all I can think of atm.

at the end of the day you could do this with every band under the sun.

you listen and your influenced....its impossible to avoid and even if it is pretty much original, a certain element of it will come from another 'original' source.

I think it's a good topic for a discussion and I respect the idea for what it is.

Yet, I am A LOT more concerned with the fact that many recent Bon Jovi tracks sound like Bon Jovi have sampled their own songs.

Bit of outside one but i always thing the chorus to My Chemical Romance's Im Not Ok sounds like a faster version of Novacaine
