Default JBJ Guardian Interview

"What has been your biggest challenge?

To be sure that I never sold out or sacrificed my art for commerce."

You have to laugh. Does he really believe his own bullshit?

He did write It's My Life, right? And Everyday? And HAND, WWBTF, and Bounce? And ESPECIALLY This Is Our House?

It's hard not to laugh at this guy sometimes.

I honestly do think he believes what he says.....
For better or worse, it really does seem that way.

Sometimes it is really difficult not to laugh at you guys! what are you doing here anyway?

Do you honestly think that Bon Jovi today is different than what they were in 1986? The last time i checked, Slippery When Wet was never considered to be a classic piece of literature. I don't understand you people, you probably are the kind who like one or two songs that were different and keep hoping that it's how the band will eventually be. Well it wont, this is Bon Jovi, and when Jon and Richie write We weren't born to follow they do express their artistic ability the best way they can, whether they hit or miss sometimes that is not the issue. The issue is those legions of fans who keep following them everywhere, buying all the records, and still spend their time nagging about things that are clearly still the same since 1984.

Suddenly, because Jon says on a film that he is a CEO, everything they do has to be broken down to this. Jon was the CEO when they released Keep The Faith, oh and he was the CEO when they did Wembly95, and when they released These Days, the album which some fans seem to be stuck at, Jon was the CEO. Well, tough titty said the kitty when the milk went dry! life goes on and things change, if you don't like it, at least be reasonable when discussing it.

Why the hell don't we have a "standing ovation" smiley. Brilliant.

He was a CEO that seemed to love what he was doing. Not any more..
Now it seems like he doesn't care.

You appear to be addressing an invisible post.
I supplied a link to a interview in which he claims to have stayed clear of 'commerce'. That is obviously completely wrong. Let's all have a chuckle.

I still listen to the commercial songs! You missed my point.
