Default Predictions - Bon Jovi vrs Susan Boyle & Josh Groban

It looks like their main competition to get to the #1 spot is Susan Boyle's Christmas album and the new Josh Groban album.

Susan Boyle's first studio album sold a ridicules amount of copies in it's first week and went on to sell an even more ridicules amount overall.

& Josh Groban's past few releases are not too far behind.

What do you's think?

Are you talking about US sales? As much as I hate Susan Boyle, Jovi is never gonna beat her. And who the hell is Josh Groban? Probably another popular American artist who doesn't mean jackshit in Europe.

And don't forget Taylor Swift.

I know the album was already released but it sold 1 million copies. Sales will be strong for the second week.

I think the best position they will get is #3.

Looks liek the end is coming. No more #1 albums, no more hit singles, no more kick ass songs

Best regards,
the Sexx

This coming from somebody who was just raving about a Mr. Big concert.

Is that how you define "the end"? By hit singles and #1 albums? Guess it's the end for many artists then.

For the record, I would be shocked if the album went to #1, Taylor Swift or not. GH albums tend to do OK over time, but not in super large chunks.

Look at it like this, it might motivate the band to right better songs...

Tell me about it--I just saw an ad for an Insane Clown Posse concert, LOL! The last I heard, they kicked their opening act Biohazard off their tour because when they left the stage, close to half the audience left with them!

GH albums don't tend to have really high first week sales in the US anymore, so I wouldn't count on it going to #1. I'd honestly be very surprised if it broke Top 10. That said, Jovi does have a built in audience, so we'll see.

As for the other records, I'd say it might end up being Swift v. Groban for the Number 1 slot. Groban is pretty well-bought in the US, and Swift is a monster right now. (Say whatever you will about her, she did something that was predicted to never come close to happening again) As for Susan Boyle, while it will sell well I'm sure, her popularity has really tapered off in the States.

I think Taylor Swift will stay at #1.

Bon Jovi's album comes out next Tuesday in the states. Josh Groban's comes out on Nov 15th which is a Monday. The Groban album would cut into their second week sales. Hopefully the promotion will help. And I do mean hopefully.
