Exactly. If I would go to a Bon Jovi concert and Phil is not there, I probably would not even notice it.

To be honest I really wouldn't mind Phil leaving as long as they replace him with someone who can actually bring across the emotionality the classic Bon Jovi solos have.

I could certainly do without his lifeless version of the BOR intro.

so true...its small details like bed of roses, or the acoustic licks in wanted etc where a diehard can easily realise the subtle but wonderful qualities in richies playing...nuances that phil cant touch...the lick with the bend before the last chorus on bed of roses, his feel and timing in wanted and many many details that set richie apart..

The embellishments. Adding something to make the chord sound a bit more interesting is what Richie did but Phil doesn’t that’s why it never sounds as soulful. Phil plays for pay. He doesn’t have the feel for the song that Richie has.

To be fair, Richie was being Richie playing these embellishments. If Phil is being Phil, he does stuff like The Drills. BJ were Richie's band, his sound is the sound of these songs. Of course Jon likes to downplay this, but I think he knows it as well. And from a business perspective it's true - Richie can and has been replaced. But you can definitely tell.

to add a little fuel in the fire jon released a video from the ktf era, the old band playing acoustic i ll sleep when i m dead...wonder if jon feels nostalgic, cause he usually avoids posts from the original band...
i hope jon realises they may have some miles to go and rethinks the whole situation, what the band became

Quenching the fire, he's doing throw backs ever since he released the Experience. If I'm not wrong 98% of everything he's been posting is from before 1995... The "vaults" are on his social media lol
