I'd say no because KTF came out more than 10 years ago. I wouldn't call someone who is a fan for 10 years (the half of the time the band exists) a new fan. Most bands even don't exist 10 years.

No - for the exact resons as stated above. I suppose if pushed to define the term, I'd say someone who discovered the band after their latest album (at whatever time this may be).

My God, Keep the faith is 11 years old, even Crush is 3 years old now, most young fans only last a few months on a band then move on as they grow up.
To be a fan of the same band for 11 years I would say is flipping great!

No, but for different reasons.....

A 'new fan' for me is somebody who got into the band on Crush, Bounce (and maybe even TD) as these weren't typical Bon Jovi albums, these really mark a big change in the band, and the music on these three albums was different from classic Bon Jovi. Keep The Faith although a little bit different, was still deffinately a rock record, still held the Bon Jovi sound, so is still deffinately Bon Jovi. Thus if you got into them on that album, you got into them on the same sound that they had on the 8 years you missed, so you're still an old time fan!

I'd say TD was a little different, but still had some fantastic rock songs on them, and is deffinately the band. It's a great album, and you can hear the band's sound on it. I included it because it isn't as much of a rock album as Slippery, or Faith... but if you got into them on this album I'd still say you're an old fan.

What you're saying is old fan = rock fan, new fan = pop fan? Oh, come on.

I would say that people since Bounce are new fans. Just because they haven't been around for a long time yet. But they'll get there, too!
