Default CD case

My friend and I were browsing through a CD store and we came across a copy of Destination Anywhere in a cardboard CD case. I found this kinda weird because all of the other CDs besides DA have plastic cases. Do they make DA in a plastic case? Or is it just cardboard? I've only seen DA cardboard cases and I don't own a copy.

I bought my DA from Germany and it's in cardboard, in Finland it was sold in plastic cases.

I've got cardboard. The cardboard one is a special edition that came out in Germany. The CDs are the same though, only the package is different.

The Japanese issue of the CD came in a cardboard box. This issue has one song more than the European issue.

It was packaged in cardboard in the USA. It was supposed to be a new environmentally friendly option for packaging CDs and I saw some other releases around that time in cardboard, but I don't think it went over very well since the industry has stuck to plastic.
