i dunno to me it seems like he plays it to handle the stiffnes of that ministage.because he's used to move around a lot on bad name during the shows.
I think it's better with two guitars also.I did a show with BJ songs about a month ago and right after we did that prayer leading into bad name thing that BJ does I grab the guitar in the midle of it because the rythm guitar spices it up quite a bit.

i think bad name was originally written with two guitars....and correct me if im wrong because i think jon always played rhythm guitar on bad name during the 80's tours
