Default What About Joey?

I was listening to Joey while riding along in the car yesterday, and a thought struck me...Joey would actually make a pretty good single. Now, I know we're all routing for Bounce, The Distance, and Undivided, but hear me out here.

The boy-band/pop fad is fading out (thank God), and a new kind of pop has been coming about recently. Now, Bon Jovi is not pop in the least (and this post is not intended to start another arguement about pop, so don't even start). Now then, I've noticed that Joey features a lot of piano and strings work, which is one of the things a lot of recent hits have been featuring (I don't know the names of these songs...I really don't pay attention to them, but I know that whenever I turn the radio on, one of those songs is playing). Thus, Joey would fit well into that category. Joey also features a pretty good story and breaks away from the usual love ballads BJ usually release. The vocals aren't all that bad either.

But the main reason I think they would be keen on releasing it is because of the sound of the song. I know not many people (if anyone) have even considered this to be the next single, but then again, no one really expected AALY either, so it's quite possible. But in my eyes, this would be a pretty wise choice for the next single. Anyone else think so?

Aloha !

A lot of people are saying Misunderstood is doing well, but that's just for the US. Here in Europe it's out of the charts for a very long time now.

Joey is a good song but it's not a great song, nor does it have hit potential. Plus, after releasing Misunderstood, Joey would be the worst choice. Two ballads in a row is not a smart idea. We need a solid rocker- The Distance, Hook Me Up, or Bounce.
