Bon Jovi makes Billboard's list of Top Moneymakers for 2012 |

Billboard Magazine has long been the gold standard for the music industry. It’s helped make and break acts old and new, and has crowned more Kings and Queens of entertainment than the British Crown has had royals. So if Billboard says an act is a big deal either in chart position or record sales or tour gross, it’s akin to that artist making the Fortune 500.
As such, Billboard had some very good news for greatest band to get on the highway out of New Jersey since The Boss: Bon Jovi has made their list of Top Money Makers for 2012.
Not only did Bon Jovi make the list, they charted at No. 7, just behind U2 at No. 2 and Taylor Swift (yes, Taylor Swift) at Number One.
The band passed muster via a blinding set of parameters and industry data that took into account U.S. derived income from concert tickets, CD’s, DVD’s, music uploads, traditional and digital releases and publishing royalties.
