Metallica's Kirk Hammett, BON JOVI'S RICHIE SAMBORA and Jon Bon Jovi, and Joe Satriani are nominated for Orville H. Gibson Guitar Awards. Hammett and Satriani are up for Best Guitar Performance for "One" and "Until We Say Goodbye" respectively, Sambora is up for Best Rock Guitarist (against the Red Hot Chili Peppers' John Frusciante, U2's The Edge, Steely Dan's Walter Becker and Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl) and Bon Jovi is nominated for Best Acoustic Guitarist. Best Bassist nominees include Twiggy Ramirez of Marilyn Manson and RHCP's Flea. The awards will be given out at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles on February 20.
