ROCK superstars Bon Jovi are set to play at Lansdowne Road in Dublin for one night only next June, it was confirmed today.
The band will rock the Dublin stadium on Friday, June 20, as part of an extensive world tour.
Bon Jovi have just been nominated for the Best Rock Group at the 2002 MTV Europe Music Video Awards to be held on November 14 in Barcelona, where the band will be performing.
The one-off gig will mark a welcome return to Ireland for the US rockers.
Most recently they played to a sell-out crowd at Dublin's RDS Arena in June 2001 and August 2000.
Bon Jovi formed in 1983 but it was the release of their third album "Slippery When Wet" in 1986 which turned them into superstars.
The album spent an amazing 94 weeks on the US Billboard Charts and contained some of their best known songs including "Livin' On A Prayer" and "You Give Love A Bad Name".
Bon Jovi have gone on to sell over 93 million albums worldwide.
