"One Wild Night: Live 1985-2001" Review 29 June 2001
We fans waited a long time for a live album...

This is not what we expected... but it's BJ

A review by David Alvarez / millenniumdavo@yahoo.com

Hi, BJ fans!

I'm a Mexican fan of BJ since SWW... the band has released lots of good albums, maybe the last 2 are kindda exceptions. Crush was a good album, but the band doesn't sound as good as in These Days or Keep The Faith and after almost 3 years or waiting, we expected more... OWN live is a good album, but we, the fans, wanted a REAL LIVE ALBUM, not an edited recopilation of rock songs performed since 1985... maybe the band could've just released a rock-songs album, but they still owe us a live performance in a cd, because this is not what we were waiting for. I wonder, is the band gonna put singles from this album on the radio or music videos?? By the way, this CD missed exceptional rock songs like Hey God, Damned, Dry County and Fear, and actually good songs that are in the album like Something For The Pain, are just not good enough recorded, because the band sounds tired or kindda lazy, and gives people a bad impression about the band's live performances.

Hope to hear what you think about this...

And remember: Bon Jovi still owe us fans a REAL LIVE RECORD!!! - BJ Forever......
