After a good show in Manchester, I went down to Villa Park Birmingham, not expecting it to be so good, but my word they were on another level at Villa Park. Made sense to come here being originally from Birmingham and a regular here anyway during the football season. Only thing that wasn't quite so good is I think they messed up with the sound a bit, the bass was far too much. But the performance from Bon Jovi was brilliant, easily the best show since Hyde Park 2003 and maybe as good as that show as well. Some nice surprises in the set list, getting Bed Of Roses, Blood On Blood, Always, Dry County and Runaway. Jon looked in fine form, moving around the stage despite now being 51 and they generally looked like they were having fun. Also twice when it looked like the band were packing up and going home they came back and did extra songs. Even today I am still in shock at what we saw, it was one of the most memorable nights ever.
