28 June 2003 - London, UK Concert Review 29 June 2003
AMEN!!!

A review by Luke N / lukenicholas@hotmail.com

Absolutely suberb! This was my 5th Bon Jovi and the best of them all. I had a great view from the Gold Section which I was thankful to be in as Jon announced that there were 92,000 people there tonight. It was a beautiful sunny day and spirits were high.

LIVE came on at about 6.10 and spent the majority of there set telling us who they were. They were bareable but on the whole a bit dull and they left after about 30 minutes.

At 7.30 sharp the boys took to the stage and blew us away. The crowd were loving it and I was shocked at how good Jon's voice sounded - they've been on the road since Oz last Xmas but he sounded as good as ever! Richie rocked with his killer solos and brilliant rendition of I'll Be There For You.
My only moan was that the bass was a bit too loud but overall the sound was great.
They rocketed through about 27 songs including Lola featuring Ray Davies of The Kinks. All the old favourites were played but the highlights have to be the songs they don't play every gig - These Days, Blood On Blood and Never Say Goodbye.
They finally left after an encore of about 8 songs at 10.30 and the evening was polished off with a short film of the guys goofing around on tour and in the studio accompanied by a firework display.

The whole band (and crowd) definitely gave everything they had and I feel that knowing this was the last gig of the European tour and they are off home tomorrow, Jon made sure of an extra special show (breaking the curfew by 30 minutes)!

These guys are without doubt the best band of any kind in the whole world. They absolutely rock every time! They are true heroes and I thank them for yet another WILD NIGHT!
